BFBeast Field Guide

Editorial Standards

How the Beast Field Guide Research Desk labels evidence, cites claims, and updates published work.

Last updated: 2026-08-20

The Beast Field Guide Research Desk separates confirmed information, cross-source reporting, community reports, and unconfirmed research. A label describes the evidence behind a claim, not a promise that it will remain unchanged after a game update.

Evidence levels

  • Officially confirmed: supported by a relevant official source.
  • Cross-source confirmed: supported by at least two independent sources.
  • Community report: attributed reporting that has not met the stronger confirmation threshold.
  • Research outline: an unpublished or incomplete claim that is not offered as player guidance.

Citations and updates

Sources are placed with, or directly beside, the claims they support. Material changes are reviewed when reliable new information or a relevant game update becomes available. Each page shows its last-updated date so readers can judge its currency.

Corrections

When we identify a factual error, we correct or remove the affected claim and note the change when context is useful. See the corrections page for the current reporting status.
