BFBeast Field Guide

Research Method

How the Beast Field Guide Research Desk evaluates publicly available information before publication.

Last updated: 2026-08-20

Our research relies on publicly available sources: official announcements and documentation first, then reputable reporting, established guides, and clearly attributed community material when it is relevant.

Source hierarchy

We prefer the source closest to the underlying fact. Where an official source is unavailable or incomplete, we cross-check independent sources, preserve uncertainty, and do not elevate repeated reporting into confirmation by repetition alone.

Limits of this method

The Beast Field Guide Research Desk does not claim first-hand testing. It does not present invented playthroughs, hardware setups, timings, or observations as its own. A source-based summary remains source-based, even when several sources agree.

Record keeping

Published source notes identify the source access date so readers can understand when the supporting material was reviewed. A source access date records access to the source; it does not guarantee that the game, source, or claim has not changed since then.
